Denise Robinson
Denise Robinson is a born and bred Tasmanian with palawa (Trawlwoolway) and Scottish/English bloodline. Having worked in administration and management for forty years with the greater part of those in the arts and cultural sector she is committed to the development of Aboriginal creative practice in Tasmania with specific focus on mentoring and professional development.
An artist, arts administrator, advisor, and mentor Denise has held a diverse range of senior roles across government, business, community, and industry sectors as well as managing her own arts practice. She has lived and studied nationally and overseas, has sat on numerous Arts and Community committees, panels, and boards, is the current Chair of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s Aboriginal Arts Advisory Council, and a Tasdance Board member.
Denise holds an MFA and BFA (Hons) from the University of Tasmania and is a current PhD candidate.
